The River Of Poppies

The River Of Poppies

To commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the end of World War One, we are placing a River of 10,000 handmade Poppies in Muster Green which will be there for approx six weeks from late September to Rememberence Sunday. The aim is to Raise Funds for the Royal British Legion and the Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity.

We need help from the local community and organisations, to complete and plant the poppies.

Free workshops are taking place in the Orchards Shopping Centre on the following dates 10-4pm 15th/17th & 23rd August please come and help make felt poppies to be placed in the River.

This community project involves local schools, social groups of all ages and many enthusiastic volunteers.

As proved by the 175th Anniversary Event held in Haywards Heath 2016 we have strong community in the town.
