Thank you for publishing the information of our Talks and Events throughout the year. Our Programme Secretary does a great job in finding such interesting subjects and speakers and with your we reach a far larger audience.  There is always a warm welcome and our venue, the Victory Hall, with its historic frescos painted by Neville Lytton, depicting the Great War and the following peace, is itself worth a visit.

Thanks to you and your magazine we often get queries from people some distance away, who then turn up and enjoy listening to our speakers, some because they have missed a particular speaker at their local venue and some because the subject matter has stirred their interest.

Your articles are so varied that there are always items of interest every month and I always go through your listings with my own diary to make a note of what is on in various areas of Sussex.

Thank you for running the article on our Cuckfield Stroke Communication Group. It was great publicity for us and although we haven’t actually had any new Members or Volunteers, your magazine has been read by a large number of interested people, who now know there is help for stroke survivors who have difficulty with speech and low self confidence. Thank you again for being such a supportive magazine.

Further to your correspondence with Joan – we wanted to thank you so much for publishing our plea for support in the December issue of Sussex Living. We have had a great response and recruited some volunteers to help with our bucket collections, the first of which was yesterday and raised £467 – we are thrilled!

Having entrusted Sussex Living to create a valuable ad space in their brilliant monthly publication for our Optometrists practice, they have gone above and beyond by crafting together the wonderful artwork and colour scheme for our humble ad. I would like to personally endorse Sussex Living, and Sonya – the representative for Sussex Living, who introduced the publication to me. I would encourage and recommend all local businesses to utilise the services of Sussex Living. Of the one ad we have had printed thus far, our patients have remarked how great it looks and it gives them a great sense of community knowing that their eye care practitioners are actively involved in the local community.

Just wanted to say how pleased I am with the placement of our full page advertisement for our Dash of Colour in the May issue. A work of genius to place our advert next to the “A big ol’ knees up” editorial as the soldiers at the bottom of the page turn into our runners.

Thank you all SOOO much for the publicity you gave us this year. It has been a stonking success! And the advance publicity made a huge contribution to the turnout. We were amazed about the number of people who attended!

I am writing on behalf of my charity, Crohn’s in Childhood Research Association and also Hassocks’ concert party Friends and Neighbours to say how much we appreciate the coverage given to us in your magazine. Publicity, particularly as wide-spread as Sussex Living can give,  is vital when raising monies for various projects and I noticed, only this last week, how quickly your magazines disappeared from one of the stands here in Hassocks before being refilled again – a sign of popularity obviously.

My own thanks to you all in the office for your patience and your help in making my efforts as ‘painless’ as possible – always a friendly greeting and kind word at the other end of the telephone.

On behalf of Burgess Hill District Lions Club I wanted to thank you and your team for their superb support enabling us to complete the production of our 60th Anniversary Booklet. The service we received from your various staff from initial investigation through to lay out, proof reading with a couple of tweaks and finally arranging and delivering top quality A4 printing at competitive rates was most appreciated by our club and we have no hesitation in recommending your services.

In addition, as a charity endeavouring to help local needy people, your various articles have been invaluable in bringing our club and its work to the attention of your readers and have resulted in cases being brought to our attention and support given. Many many thanks and keep up the good work.

President, Burgess Hill District Lions Club

We would like to thank you for the article and publicity you recently gave Burgess Hill Choral Society for our Spring concert at the end of April where we were singing the great Brahms Requiem.  The concert was a huge success and we had a packed and appreciative audience.  We really appreciate the support that Sussex Living magazine gave us in letting the local community know about the event, and also for your ongoing support over the last few years.

A short note to thank you and the Sussex Living team for your excellent “Get Involved” piece on 107 Meridian FM. As you know we are 100% reliant on volunteers from within our community stepping forward to help and support our radio service to the people of East Grinstead and the surrounding towns and villages. We had a wonderful response to the article, a number of new presenters and cherry on top(!), a brilliant engineer to maintain the station. In perspective I have been searching for the right person for over a year and Sussex Living cracked it with this article! Keep up the good work at Sussex Living!

As an Ex game keeper, I was trying to think of a way of how to use my skills to get an extra income, I approached Sussex Living and started advertising, and got a tremendous response, through the magazine for my animal management skills. The whole process was easy and very successful.

As Secretary of East Grinstead in Bloom I would like to thank the magazine for the lovely article you printed in May’s edition. It allowed us to tell people further afield about the things we do around the town and as a result we have had enquires from local people wanting to volunteer and help on the projects we are involved with. The magazine has allowed us to reach out to these volunteers which is wonderful for us and the residents of East Grinstead.  Thank you to the magazine, its team and the wonderful community work you cover for the area. Keep up the great work.

Madly busy due to Feb issue!

Thank you so much to Sussex Living for provide yet another great advertorial. I find these great value and really reach out to my key market. The whole process from planning, photos, edit and print is really slick and I totally recommend!

The directory box at the rear of the magazine works on a ” drip feed” basis and also is totally worth the investment!

Our Easter Fayre took place a week ago, on Sunday 29 March. This was the first event I submitted to you back in late February and your colleague Tanis Banham very kindly included it online, even though the official deadline had passed.

Despite the appalling wind and rain that day, the Fayre was well attended by loyal members of the public who arrived appropriately dressed and determined to enjoy themselves!

Once again, many thanks for your help publicising our event programme – it’s greatly appreciated.

Thanks you so much for including the details of our NGS garden openings in Sussex Living Magazine.

Over the years, your mention in Sussex Living Magazine has brought us many delightful garden visitors.

Thank you also, to all the 2000 plus visitors who this year, came to the garden and helped us to raise over £20,000 for the National Garden Scheme charities which are mainly MacMillan, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Help the Hospices and the Carers Trust. Thus we achieved our target to raise £15,000 this year meaning that since we started opening in 1992 we have raised over £100, 000 for the NGS charities.

Thus Sussex Living Magazine staff have helped our NGS caring charities through their splendid magazine. Thank you.

Thank you for my copy which arrived today

What a lovely way to present an article Carla! It really does look good. My thanks and those of all the  Sussex NADFAS teams, to all concerned in producing such an article with appropriate heading and pictures. I have Roger Linn’s e-mail address and will thank him directly. Once again thanks, it has been a real pleasure dealing with both you and Roger.

I have advertised with most of the Sussex Lifestyle magazines, but never have had results like I have from Sussex Living! 2 Sales from the first ever advert! Thank you, It’s great to be with you!

We were delighted with the article and photos you printed of our Sussex Woodcraft  Annual Show at Henfield, in the January edition of Sussex Living. Your reporter, Ruth was an excellent interviewer and the club members enjoyed talking to her about their skills and work. A great deal of interest has been shown in the article and as a result we have gained several new members, so thank you very much for including us in your magazine.

I felt I must write to say how much I enjoyed the February Issue of Sussex Living. I haven’t picked up a copy of your magazine in a long while and was impressed at the content of the Articles it contained! Although I am not intolerant to Gluten or Wheat, I thought it would be a good idea to try the “Gooey Chocolate Pudding”. I must say, it turned out exactly as in the photo and the instructions were simple to follow and the ingredients were easily sourced. I will be making this pudding again and look forward to future recipes from Jane.

Thank you for placing our invitation for our first meeting in your what is on section we had a great response. I asked everyone who turned up and 5 said they got the information from your magazine. Due to such a good response we have decided to continue with our meetings every second Tuesday of the month at the same venue.

Thank you for the Sussex Living February 2014 magazine which arrived today. Thank you too for your kind and prompt response to my request. As mentioned over the phone, Sussex Living is an excellent, informative and entertaining publication!

My husband & I love reading your articles on Local Walks!  We were very keen walkers in our younger days but sadly now we are unable to, it gives us great pleasure retracing our steps and recalling many of the walks  that you publish, keep them coming!

I picked up a copy of Sussex Living from a hospital waiting room last week – the March 2015 edition. I did Les Campbell’s walk around Bramber today, and thoroughly enjoyed it. His detail is just right – very easy to follow.

Now I have to find somewhere near me where I can pick up your magazine regularly, rather than ‘borrowing’ copies from waiting rooms!

Do pass on my thanks to Les.

John Rose our Chairman asked me to say a big thank you for including the Article about Age Concern Hassocks in your magazine. We have had some very good feedback and lots of people have told us they have seen it. We are confident that it will encourage more elderly residents use the excellent facilities we offer. Thank you for your ongoing support. It is very important to us.

The 12th April concert at The Birch Hotel for The Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Sussex was entitled ‘The Magic of The Menezes.’ The brother and sister team of David & Elizabeth Menezes gave us a splendid afternoon of G & S, plus songs and duets from the same era. The attendance was forty-seven – a little below average – but those who took the trouble to come were well rewarded. Accompanied at the keyboard by Rosie Ward, they demonstrated just why they have forged successful careers in opera houses around the world. Sullivan was well represented, but Gilbert less so. Never mind, we enjoyed it all!

We really do appreciate having our Society’s events printed in your excellent magazine, and feel sure it publicises our activities to a much wider audience than would otherwise happen. Thanks for your continued interest.

I wanted to say thank you for publishing articles on behalf of Coro Nuovo choir. It is always interesting when I ask people how they heard of us, invariably it is from Sussex Living. It is certainly our first port of call when wanting to market an event. Posters and flyers can only do so much but your magazine’s wide audience is able to reach all villages and towns locally.  It is the obvious place to look for information about upcoming events in the area.  The front cover always look inviting! Well done from us.

I simply cannot thank you enough for designing the Programme for Cuckfield’s Christmas Tree Festival.  We had a wonderful occasion with 79 trees and super attendance from some visiting for their twelfth time and others for their very first.  The Programme was a key part of helping everyone enjoy the event and to bringing our partner charity , Kent Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance, to everyone’s attention. Thank you so much.

I would like  to thank you for writing the article on Robert Burns and the  Burns Supper celebrations  held  in his memory in your January issue. Members  of the Mid Sussex Caledonian Society  commented on how comprehensive and interesting an article it was.  The article also promoted some  interest in the society with the result that some new people came to the  Burns Supper held at Cottesmore Golf and Country Club. Some  of them also joined the  society.

 Kind regards, Marian Imrie

Thank you Sussex Living magazine for all your help with our ongoing advertising campaign. We are welcoming a constant stream of customers, new and old, to our new shop in response to the feature. Undoubtedly the most successful marketing initiative Present Company has ever run!

Thank you and the team SO much for all you have done to help Coro Nuovo get established.  We were delighted with the article a few weeks ago in the June edition and the follow up you did. St Wilfrid’s Church was packed on Sunday evening and we had a superb event.  Kieran Carter the young gifted cellist was superb and brought tears to many eyes and a very emotional performance.   The choir sang beautifully and although it was a hot evening we fanned ourselves and waved our Union Jacks to Rule Britannia in excellent voice from everyone!

The two VIP guests who came via the competition in Sussex Living I hope enjoyed themselves.

Thank you again and I really hope you can help us out next year. We are doing Coro Nuovo goes to the Movies – some West Side Story, some Amadeus and pieces from showstopping shows!

Just a few lines to say thank you to you and your team who have produced such great results for us over the past few months. The advertorial you helped us create showcased the best of what we have to offer and our newly refurbished restaurant. The offer we ran with you produced tremendous results, proving how much coverage and influence you have with the public.

Davina Whiting

We would just like to say a big thank you to all at Sussex Living. The advertorial you did for us was amazing; we were thrilled to bits. You really captured what we are all about and it was beautifully presented (as all our adverts are with you). To top it off, we have had several new clients from this advert and we are delighted!

Linda Stripp

We have consistently advertised our Fine Furniture Making and Antique Restoration Courses since almost your very first issue, which in itself is testament to the value we place on the return we receive from our regular presence!  Not only do many of our students find us through Sussex Living but a considerable proportion of our furniture design commissions and antique restoration work also finds its way through to us through our advertisements.

We have watched you develop from a fledgling magazine into the beautiful glossy ‘coffee table’ worthy publication you are today, filled with fascinating relevant articles and plenty of local activities to see and do. Good luck to you all for continued growth in the future and thank you to all the staff who are always so helpful and patient when we’re simply too busy to remember deadlines!

Thank so much for publishing the feature about our 10th anniversary. Originally we had thought to submit a list of all the books we had read over the last 10 years, but as we could only remember about half of them the article took a different and hopefully more entertaining form! We hope your readers enjoyed reading the article as much as we did writing it.

I have been really pleased with the response I had from my advert in January with Sussex Living and the enquiries are still coming in even now.  Sonya explained the whole process very clearly and all I had to do was be there for the photographer and have an interview with the copywriter over a coffee – simple and easy.

Dear Sussex Living… thank you for  the ‘Old Folk Songs of Sussex’ article, that appeared in your February edition. Thanks particularly for the great effort your team went to in producing an accurate account of our local heritage of traditional folk song collectors and singers.  It’s a massive topic that covers the past 170 years, yet your article encapsulated it perfectly.’

I’m also grateful for the two bookings I gained from the article, for my talk entitled, ‘Up close.. to England’s traditional music’

We experimented with lots of different advertising media from local weekly papers and free ad type publications to roadside posters, all with reasonable success, but we felt we never really achieved the reach or quite the right clientele that we wanted across the county until we decided to try Sussex Living magazine.

Firstly, I was impressed by the way Sonya popped along to our event, getting a feel for the type of clientele we were looking to attract to our events, and secondly the artwork for our advertisements whenever I was not sure, I just sent over a group of images and, hey presto, Sussex Living turn them into exactly what was in my head even if I couldn’t exactly explain it.

The adverts have been immensely popular with our 30 stallholders and we now regularly see our clientele numbers up by at least a third, and even more over the Christmas period. We have also noticed that the type of clientele we now attract through our advertising with Sussex Living is much more suited to our event – we have groups of friends travel from around the county to spend the day browsing and buying, more recently from Steyning after seeing our advert in the magazine.

Thank you to all the Sussex Living team who make the difficult choice of who and where to advertise so easy.

I would like to thank the team at Sussex Living for the help and support they have provided me and my business with since our launch last year. They have shown real enthusiasm for my business and what we offer. Their flexibility and ability to adapt to a change of requirements is much appreciated! The quality and area distribution of the publication is ideal for connecting with my target audience too. The high quality articles make the publication not only enjoyable to read, but a valuable source of reference for our local area. I have received excellent feedback from clients with each issue, and look forward to receiving many more!
