Smiles All Round At Peter Pan Press Launch
“When there’s a smile in your heart, there’s no better time to start” Peter Pan
There were smiles all round at The Capitol’s Peter Pan Press Launch earlier this week when this year’s cast and staff from The Capitol started to feel festive in the build up to their fantastic family pantomime.
Nick Mowat, General Manager and Pantomime Director welcomed local media contacts and sponsors and introduced the cast at The Capitol, Horsham. Anthony Sahota stars as Peter Pan “the boy who never grew up” and will appear alongside former local radio breakfast show presenter Nicola Hume. Nicholas Collier and Rebecca Lafferty, who have both appeared in West End shows play Captain Hook/Mr Darling and Wendy Darling respectively and their “on stage” sons John and Michael will be played by four local rising stars Daniel Kendon, Oscar Ward-Dutton, Dexter Lamley-Grinstead and Theo Ranganathan.
Following pantomime tradition, there will be a welcome return from Hywel Dowsell who plays the Dame, Mrs Smee and together with “her” son Mini Smee played by James Fletcher, the two will make the perfect double-act.
Complemented by a juvenile ensemble of 26 lost boys and girls who were selected at the theatre’s summer auditions and all of whom attend local schools, this brand NEW version of the classic story opens on Friday 13th December running until Sunday 5th January 2020.
2019 marks the 90th Anniversary that JM Barrie gifted the rights to Great Ormond Street Hospital and The Capitol will be organising bucket collections after every performance with the donations going to the Charity.
