Rob Halligan Live!

Rob Halligan Live!

Saturday 30th November 2019 7.30pm

Former teacher Roy Stannard is delighted to welcome his former student Rob Halligan to Burgess Hill for the last gig in his current tour on the 30th November.

Roy was Rob’s teacher at Worthing High School in the 80s and has watched with pride as Rob has gone on to success as a singer songwriter with 8 CDs to date and hundreds of successful UK tours.

The last three Burgess Hill Concerts raised funds for local charities Growing with Calm, Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity and St Peter and St James Hospice and this concert will help support the work of Global Care, the international children’s charity chosen by the artist.

Rob Halligan – Singer songwriter

Award winning singer songwriter Rob Halligan is heading to Sussex for the final show of a forty one date UK tour. Halligan has taken the highly acclaimed We All Write The Songs tour throughout Scotland and England to finish where he has his roots in Sussex.

We All Write The Songs started life as an alum recorded with Wet Wet Wet’s Graeme Duffin and has received airplay on national radio and TV and rave reviews.

Originally from Brighton, Halligan grew up in Peacehaven and then Worthing before moving to The Midlands. He has worked with an array of artists including Deacon Blue’s Ricky Ross, Dave Scott-Morgan (ELO), Graeme Duffin (Wet Wet Wet), After The Fire and Nel Brydon.

He appears regularly on radio and TV and in June 2019 was featured on Songs Of Praise talking about his music and his work with international children’s charity Global Care in Syrian refugee camps on the Lebanese border.

Rob is currently in the studio recording his next album “Always Heading Home” and has just released a project called “Psalm”, a book and CD that includes a commission from the Bishop of Coventry, Christopher Coxworth, for a song tackling knife crime.

Rob’s chosen charity lies close to his heart, “Since 2004 I’ve had a particularly close relationship with Global Care who partner with projects in over 15 countries, working with children in extreme need. I’ve had the privilege to visit projects in Ethiopia, Bangladesh and Lebanon and see first-hand the huge difference Global Care make to the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable children through education, practical care and emergency aid. My current tour is supporting this great charity. Please visit to find out more. It’s great to hook up with Roy again as well – despite the fact that I’m sure I owe him some homework!”

This the final show of Rob’s tour – so represents a rare opportunity to see this artist before he moves on to bigger venues.

On Saturday 30th November, St Edward’s Mustard Seed Café will be open at 6.30pm for pre-booked suppers and for coffee, tea and cake during the interval. Doors for the concert will open at 7.00pm and the concert will start at 7.30pm – with an interval at 8.15pm.

Tickets are available from Eventbrite, the Mustard Seed Café at St Edwards and at the Burgess Hill Council Offices Help Point, Church Walk, Burgess Hill.
