Park Cameras – huge new London camera store now open!

United Kingdom, 4th December 2013 – Park Cameras officially opened the doors to its outstanding new camera store in London this week.

Park Cameras’s aim for their new store was to create the best camera store in London and they believe that they have done this. Their plan was to recreate the award-winning formula that has served them well since opening their flagship Burgess Hill store in 2008. But it’s their 42 year history and over 400 years’ combined experience in the photo industry that has helped them design their new specialist camera store in central London.

Park’s store is extremely accessible in the heart of the west end of London. It’s just a few minutes’ walk from either Oxford Circus or Tottenham Court Road tube stations and can be found at 53-54 Rathbone Place, London, W1T 1JR. The store spans across over 4,000 square feet purely dedicated to photography. The store is so large in fact, it even has its own postcode!

With this amount of retail space, there is a fantastic display from each of the leading photographic brands. Just some of the areas within the store include the largest display of Canon Digital SLRs and Canon lenses, Fujifilm cameras, Olympus cameras, Panasonic cameras. The store offers the widest choice of digital cameras in all of London, but it’s not just cameras, but all those important lenses and accessories so that their customers can make the most of their photography. The store also comprises the largest range of Lowepro and Manfrotto bags and tripods on display in central London, for customers to select their perfect add-ons.

One of the key ingredients for their new store is the high quality of knowledgeable and passionate staff. With over 1,000 applicants to be part of this exciting venture, they have specially selected the best staff to keep Park Cameras’s ethos of the highest possible customer service. All of the friendly staff are photographers or videographers themselves so are only too pleased to spend their days passing on their skills and experience. On top of this, Park Cameras have also worked with their key brands in order to have additional technical experts specialising in those brands in store most days of the week.

The store opened its doors a few days ago in a soft opening and is now planning their grand opening event on Saturday 14th December. On the big day, there will be representatives from all the photographic brands along with a range of unbeatable offers. Their plan is to recreate the ‘buzz’ that gets experienced at the store’s Imaging Festival held annually at the Burgess Hill store at which over 1,200 customers attended this year’s event. On top of the one-day-only bargains, there will be a number of prize draws and give-aways so be sure to put the date in your diary. Further information about the day is available on their website at www.parkcameras.com

Roscoe Atkins, MD of Park Cameras, said, “It’s been a lot of hard work and late nights for our team to open the store in time for Christmas but we’re really pleased we’re now open and ready to serve London. Our objective was simple: to create the best camera store in London so we listened to our customers for what they wanted and we hope that we’ve successfully implemented their thoughts and ideas. We are now open so please do come along to meet the new team and take advantage of our opening week offers. Please also watch this space, as there are more exciting plans that we have in store for the future!”

“The store wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our staff but also, very importantly, the support of our suppliers. I’d like to extend my gratitude to everyone involved and look forward to welcoming one and all to see what we’ve created for our customers”.
