Hassocks Paper Exhibition
The opening weekend to a charity art exhibition was a great success, with bids being placed for items on the first day.
The Art of Paper Folding’, by Burgess Hill resident Andreea Rascanu, features ten stunning pieces of art, made from a total of 15,000 separate pieces of paper, taking an impressive 200 hours for Andreea to complete.
The pieces displayed are being sold off to raise money for local hospice Chestnut Tree House, via a silent auction. Visitors to the gallery can bid for each item by posting their bid in the postbox in the gallery.
Children’s origami kits are also available to take away, for a donation to the charity.
The pieces will be on display at The CUBE Gallery at the South Downs Heritage Centre, Hassocks until Sunday 30th June. Winning bidders will be contacted at the end of the exhibition to collect their pieces.
