The Half Moon Inn is West Sussex’s first community owned pub. Since it’s re-opening in August 2017 it has fast attracted plaudits and awards from far and wide including Trip Advisors Certificate of Excellence for its’ food and a place in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, the World’s premier beer bible. The pub offers an extensive and eclectic wine list to complement its ever changing menu of locally produced and sourced produce with all dishes being homemade on site.
Two Head Chefs bringing over 40 years of experience to the kitchen and the highly trained front of house staff ensure a warm welcome to this delightful 400 year old village pub, as do the roaring open fires that burn brightly on cold winter days.
The Sunday lunches are renowned for their fabulous local meats and to change the mood a little there is an excellent Curry Night every Thursday offering a range of eastern dishes from India, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. Regular Sunday Jazz and swing sessions in the late afternoon and early evening are proving a very popular and the occasional Friday and Saturday music nights are always fully attended.
For those requiring something lighter there is the very popular bar tapas menu featuring such delights as Pil Pil Prawns, Crispy Pork Belly with local spiced apple chutney, Poole Bap Clams in garlic and Flat Iron Steak Bernaise.
