Free Sunscreen From A ‘Caring Lady’
Inspired by a mother’s own experiences, two businesses in Shoreham and Hove will be handing out free sunscreen for passers-by this summer.
The idea came from mum-of-three Lucy Harvey who works at the Shoreham branch of Caring Lady Funeral Directors.
Lucy also persuaded her colleagues in Hove to get involved after she reflected on her own memories of being out in town without sunscreen.
Lucy said: “The summer holidays are always frantic as you have to do all of your usual chores whilst keeping your children entertained. It is all too easy to end up in town and realise that you forgot to apply the sunscreen which is why we want to offer it to people passing our branch. The bottles will be outside of our branches so there is no obligation to even talk to us – although we do love it when people pop in to say hello.”
Caring Lady Funeral Directors in Hove is located at 38 Blatchington Road and Caring Lady Funeral Directors in Shoreham by Sea is located at 68 High Street.
Sunscreen will be available throughout the school holidays from 22nd July or until stocks last.
Caring Lady Funeral Directors have been based in Sussex since 1995 and there are currently six branches in Brighton, Goring by Sea, Hove, Peacehaven, Shoreham by Sea and Worthing.
