Discover Life In Wartime Britain As Part Of Hever’s Home Front
23rd & 24th June
Experience what it was like during the Second World War by taking part in a swing dance alongside Viv the Spiv, tap your toes to music from vocalist Miss Annie or browse stalls selling vintage wares and refreshments.
Witness unique living history from the Home Front in a classic double decker bus containing reconstructions of a 1940’s living room, shop, bombed out street and air raid shelter replicating the sights and sounds of the time.
Take in the sights and smells of the time with authentic cooking along with displays of US and Canadian army vehicles.
Step into the shoes of those during the time by dressing up in period costume with prizes for the best dressed visitors. Finish off your outfit with a trip to our 1940’s salon.
Meet Winston Churchill and enjoy displays of period model boats on the Moat or have a selfie with a grounded life-size Spitfire.
