Castle Canines: The Paw-Fect Hever Weekend For Your Pooch
It’s all about the pooches; a weekend dedicated to our four legged friends with displays, stalls, competitions and prizes for top dogs.
Whether you own your own dog or just love them, there is something for everyone at Castle Canines.
Enjoy displays and entertainment from a variety of different breeds including Pets as Therapy Dogs, Guide Dog puppies, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, Army dogs, Labrador Rescue, huskies from the Siberian Husky Welfare Association and the Southern Golden Retriever Display Team. Newfoundland Dogs in Action will be doing a water display on the lake, showing how they rescue people.
Parade your pooch as part of the Hever Castle dog show (£1 to enter) with rosettes for the most Dashing Dog, Beautiful Bitch, Super Senior, Perfect Pup or Best Dressed Dog. On Sunday, owners can enter the Ravishing Rescue and Wonderful Wag categories as well.
Visitors can also enter their hound into have-a-go agility (£1 to enter), how clever is your dog (£1 to enter) and seek advice on caring for their canine. There will also be a variety of stalls to browse.
Hever Castle & Gardens welcomes dogs on leads and the 125 acre grounds and Lake Walk are popular for owners and their dogs, both at Castle Canines or all year around.
