Unite With Alzheimer’s Society In West Sussex And Go Along To A Christmas Carol Concert
Residents from across West Sussex are invited to unite against dementia and join this year’s Alzheimer’s Society’s Christmas Carol Concerts.
The charity is hosting four different carol concerts or services throughout December in the county.
All of the concerts and services have been organised by people living well with dementia in the area – the Chichester and Bognor Positive Thinkers, Mid Sussex Dementia Forum, Worthing Town Cryers and the Crawley Forward Thinking Group.
The events will be held on:
- Monday 3rd December at Chichester Cathedral from 2.30pm
- Friday 7th December at Cuckfield’s Holy Trinity Church in Church Street, at 3.30pm.
- Friday 14th December at the Salvation Army Church, in Crescent Road, Worthing, at 4pm.
- Thursday 20th December at St Margaret’s Church in Ifield, Crawley, at 3.30pm
The congregations will hit the high notes with traditional and non-traditional Christmas carols, readings and poems. There will be choirs from local schools and local organisations also attending to entertain the congregations.
All the concerts and services will be followed by a Christmas Café with free refreshments and everyone is welcome to attend.
Tim Wilkins, Alzheimer’s Society Service User Involvement Officer for West Sussex, said: “A lot of hard work has gone into organising this year’s Christmas Carol Concerts and Services by these inspirational people with dementia, and I am sure they will be fantastic events. The concerts and services will help raise awareness of dementia in the towns and all the surrounding areas. Please come along and join us.”
