14,000 Visitors Attend The South Of England Showground’s Winter Fair
The South of England Agricultural Society is delighted to announce that a record-breaking 14,000 visitors attended its Winter Fair last weekend at the South of England Showground in Ardingly, West Sussex.
The busiest Christmas event they have held to date, the Winter Fair was organised to help raise funds for the Society to fulfil its charitable remit. Any profits will be put towards helping the Society’s educational work from inspiring school children to learn about food production and appreciate the value of the countryside, to offering travel bursaries for people working in the farming sector or helping fund agricultural research, and showcasing the countryside and its industries to the public at their Shows.
The fair, which ran through the weekend (23rd & 24th November) was a shopper’s paradise offering visitors the perfect opportunity to get their Christmas preparations sorted whilst enjoying a festive family day out.
Iain Nicol, CEO of the South of England Agricultural Society, said, “It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying our Winter Fair at the showground and supporting our charity’s work. Without them we couldn’t offer the support we do to so many involved in agriculture and other related land based industries. Everyone was truly getting into the festive spirit and it was a great weekend for local families to kick off the Christmas shopping period in style.”
The South of England Agricultural Society’s next event will be Spring Live! which will take place on Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd May 2020. Tickets and more information will be available from www.seas.org.uk in the new year.
